In most of electronics market of cell phones sellers shops are not paying proper VAT tax of 12.5%, only in Indore Jail Road Market, there is a sell of more than 5000 sell phones per day from more than 500 shops, there is more than 800shops dealing in mobiles & its accessories, but no one is paying proper VAT tax of 12.5%, of course, there is other shops too, but most of dealing with electronics material, that market comes under circle no.10of MP commercial tax deptt,.
Most of shoppers are cheaters, they are cheating their customers from many corners, these are charging Vat Tax from all customers but not paying to Commercial tax department, 2nd coincide, they are fulfilling demands of customers, and imposing & suggesting goods which is giving high margins, I bought a mobile phone, I asked to Prakash Mobile shop for a android phone, his worker suggested to buy a LG E-425, while it was only meant for Muslim countries such Iran, Iraq, Libya etc., but that bustard sold this phone in India, while it was not having double camera, double sim, its android is not working with computer etc., when 2nd day I reached there, he refused to exchange it.
Most of Commercial tax officers are well aware with this tax evasion, but all these are getting high bribes, so unable to take any action against all these tax evaders.
According to sources of that market, most of Chinese goods such as mobile phones, importers are importing on 5% to 10% billing, while that money is going through banks, paying total payment through banks, but billing is only 5% to10% for saving all types of taxes, while most of branded cos. Such as Samsung, LG, Nokia, Sony, Panasonic, Motorola, micromax, etc., all are manufacturing their goods in China only for reducing cost, tax saving etc.,
