Indian Railway Budget111-12: Mmta’s Railway is using for her benefits for winning election of WB;
It is Mmta’s Railway, using Indian Railway for most of West Bengal, she increased many trains on most of routes of country, but unable to increased speed of trains, while average passenger trains speed is 25kmph, express train speed is 50 to 70kmph, super fast 90kmph, railway tracks are very limited, in India, but rapidly passenger & goods trains are loading on these tracks, while maintenance is very poor, that’s causing high rate of accidents. It is highest in the world & very dangerous for entire traveling public & for entire nation. No one minister is looking on it. Most of routes require 4lane railway tracks, most of bridges are very old, requires reconstruction, even many routes yet not electrified such as Katni Jabalpur, Itarasi, Indore-Ujjain, Dewas- Maxi-Guna, etc., & thousand of other routes in the nation. There is no rapid expansion plan for changing of meter gauge into broad gauge, such as Indore Khandwa, Mhow Neemuch & hundreds of routes, no plan for laying of new tracks such as Indore Dahod via Pithampur Industrial area, Dhar Jhabua etc., while Indore is a business capital of MP & Pithampur is the biggest industrial state in MP, but yet not planned for railway. Of course, she promised for 1300km new lines, 867km for doubling, 1017km for gauge conversion, but it is budget promise, and there is no hike in passenger fare & goods freight rates. Of course, she provided highest Rs.57630cr. Rs.9583cr. for new lines.
