In June 17, MP State Food & Civil Supplies played a high corruption drama. In Malwa Region or western MP i.e., in Indore & Ujjain Dn., in this 15 dist.. From end of May17, farmers were weeping for high production, in open market no one merchant was ready to buy this onion @Rs.2/- per kg. Farmers marched against it after 10-20days strike of farmers, in this march more than 20farmers died, at last govt. decided to buy @8/- per kg. Dist. Food officers of all these 15 dist. bought @Rs.8000/- per ton 150000 ton extra onion comparison with production of approx. only 100000 ton, spent more than Rs.400cr. extra, and sold it @2100/- to 2900/- per ton, each & every dist. Food officer to inspector earned more than Rs.50lakh to 10cr., Of course, more than Rs.200cr. reached to CM & minister F&CS. While more than 10000 ton onion destroyed due to bad & improper storage & handling. Now again in Aug. 17, MP State public is suffering & crying for high prices from Rs.10 to 40/- per kg. while in other states such as Delhi, Raj., it is more than Rs.40/-
